We love to try new things, except perhaps blowfish.</p> <p>We're taking the train in from Osaka and so far have planned on visiting Gion and the Imperial Palace so places to eat around these places would be great. Where else would you suggest we sightsee? If anyone can suggest places to eat around these sights, that would be good.</p> <p>Shopping-wise, we don't really like the big department stores...we're interested in good quality souveniers. Thanks. </p>
